The History of East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

East Allen Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps. was founded in 1979 by a group of citizens who found a need for Emergency Medical Service in the township. (At this same time, East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Company was founded)

In the first years of the ambulance corps, they ran out of the fire company.

Today, EATVAC has about 25 EMT's, Drivers, and other volunteers. We provide Basic Life Support (BLS) in our township and work with Advanced Life Support (ALS) providers, our fire department, and police department to carry out any emergency task that is needed.

In 2004 we will be celebrating 25 years of saving lives in the community.

As always, we are looking for a few good people to volunteer to keep our corps. going. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me.
